Nelson Mandela said “Education is the most powerful tool we can use to change the world.”
Today is the International Day of the African Child, one more day to remember the importance of education! Recognizing its significance for a better future, we work daily to bring more and better opportunities to the children we support.
An example of this is the Study Support classes for very vulnerable sponsored children on an after-school schedule, with snack included. This project strengthens the child’s skills in subjects like Portuguese and Maths, but also develops study habits and addresses education on hygiene, health, social skills etc.
We know the huge impact that Study Support classes has, so last year we decided to expand this project to the little ones at Escolinha Flor da Infância, and this year, we have also implemented it at Escolinha de Sta. Catarina. Our little ones in Pre-school now have the opportunity to consolidate what they have learned in class.
Every day, A Little Gesture seeks to break the cycle of poverty in Mozambique. Your Little Gesture is a Great Help to our children. With only c.40£ we finance 1 YEAR of Study Support classes for 1 child.
Happy African Child Day
