Sidónio is 14 years old and has been with ALG since 2019, when he joined the UPG Portugal Sponsoring Programme at Santa Luisa de Marillac School, in Chokwé. He lives with his ailing father, 4 brothers, and his mother who is the only one providing for the family working on a farming plot. Nevertheless, Sidónio is a hard-working student, never misses school, and in his spare time, just like every child, he enjoys playing with his friends.

Sidónio’s house is made of reed which cannot prevent the wind and rain from coming in. The new houses will be more resistant, made of bricks, and will have windows and doors.
