As climate change continues to affect Mozambique, the rainy season has notedly intensified especially in the Province of Gaza and Manjangue. At the beginning of the year, the HIV Day Care Centre was submerged in rainwater preventing children to return to their activities, meals and medical daily support.
A new walkway construction that would enable the HIV Day Care Centre access in the rainy season became a priority. The construction with a total length of c.25m allows for the 38 children and team’s safety and was finalised in May.
This initiative presented a total cost of £882.
