Day 22: Prevention measures followed by the book!

In Mozambique, as well as in the UK, pandemic prevention measures included the use of facial masks, social distancing, following cough etiquette and frequent handwashing with water and soap or ashes.

Every store and public space installed a handwashing water basket at the front door allowing people to handwash regularly. As an example our Local Partner Arnaldo adopted these new norms in his small community IT Centre.

ALG also purchased several handwashing water baskets, liquid soap and sanitizer to guarantee the health & safety of everyone in our diverse regional hubs: Local Technicians, Local Partners and the children and their families during Basket Distributions.

This investment had a cost of £135.
