A Little Gesture Sustainability- Income Generation intervention area promotes the creation and strengthening of several individual, family or community businesses with the goal of promoting local economy and entrepreneurship, while contributing for improving families’ living conditions. Our long-term Local Technician in Chongoene, Arnaldo Mate, soon revealed a remarkable entrepreneurial spirit!
First, he launched an IT Centre CTI in 2015 and, in 2018 with our support he built the Wesley’s Beauty Salon. At the salon there is hairdressing services, manicure and even pedicure! Familiarised with the local context and economy, Arnaldo noticed the absence of these services in his community and Wesley’s Salon is already a success!
Female emancipation is the secondary goal of this project, and currently it employs two women to fight the lack of employment for the female gender in the local community. Our salon’s customers are becoming even more beautiful!
